Welcome To Merchantville Sound Music!
Merchantville Sound Music is a community music school in Merchantville, New Jersey. Sean Conlon and Sienna Averett - two musicians and University of the Arts graduates - created Merchantville Sound Music to bring their proven approach to music lessons to more of South Jersey, following the success of their first two schools, Collingswood Sound Music and Haddonfield Sound Music. All three schools strive to be a positive environment where musicians of all ages, levels and backgrounds can take lessons, no matter their goal. As former music students - and now musicians and music teachers - themselves, Sean and Sienna know how impactful a great teacher can be, helping students of all ages establish a lifelong love for music, whatever role it goes on to play in their lives.
Our Mission
Our mission at Merchantville Sound is to provide individualized, high-quality music education by pairing each student with professional, skilled, and often multi-instrumental teachers who tailor every lesson to the student's personal goals, interests and level. Whether you're picking up an instrument for the first time or returning after years away, you'll learn at your own pace, on your own terms.
What Makes Us Different
We don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. Every student arrives with different experiences and different goals, and we want to capitalize on what makes you want to learn. Our teachers are held to the highest standard of musicianship, creativity and teaching - and they share our vision that music should exist in a way that's unique to each student. We also work hard to make scheduling and payment as simple as possible, so that when it's lesson time, music is the focus.
Lessons & Classes for Every Age
From your first note to performing on stage, Merchantville Sound offers private music lessons for all ages and skill levels - including piano, guitar, voice, drums, ukulele, bass and more. Prefer to learn alongside others? Our group music classes give younger students and beginners a fun, social way to start making music. No matter your age, instrument or goal, there's a place for you here in Merchantville.
